From the start, communication was excellent. Liset was super responsive and helpful before and during the trip, keeping everything clear and perfectly organized. Daniel met us right at the port in Bar when our cruise ship docked and made us feel instantly welcome. Our tour through Budva and Kotor was beautifully coordinated — seamless transitions, well-timed stops, and just the right balance of history and sightseeing. Daniel’s explanations were concise yet rich in historical context, and his storytelling brought Montenegro’s culture to life. Both Budva and Kotor are stunning, especially Kotor — absolutely charming and full of character. Montenegro ended up being the literal highlight of our entire trip. If you’re visiting by cruise or independently, I can’t recommend Kotor Private Tours highly enough. Liset and Daniel are total professionals — friendly, knowledgeable, and very practical with time management (which was key for our limited port hours). We loved the cable car ride and the alpine coaster at the top of the mountain. The family style lunch was delicious and in a beautiful setting. We stopped several times for photos in the mountains - the scenery was magnificent! Google review ***** November 2025 We had a wonderful tour of Kotor. Liset at Kotor Private Tours was fabulous at communicating during the planning process (I asked her a lot of questions!). We chose a 6 hour boat tour with walking tour of Old Town and we enjoyed immensely. It was a bit chilly in October on the water, but it was great to see the sights and beautiful scenery from the water — we wouldn’t change a thing! We saw the intriguing submarine tunnels, Blue Cave, and Mamula Fortress from the boat. It warmed up by late morning/early afternoon and was simply perfect to explore Our Lady of the Rocks, Perast, and old town Kotor. Our guide Andrew (Andrija) was so knowledgeable and personable! He was very easy to talk to and he ensured our interests and timetable were met. We would highly recommend Kotor Private Tours! asy to work with to change our excursion so that they could accommodate my injury. We went to Lovcen National park and visited Njegos Mausoleum, a hike of 460 steps. Daniel stayed with us along the way to make sure that we were good with this level of activity. Our tour started with a spacious, comfortable, and stylish Mercedes van (and excellent/courteous driver, Peter) picking us up in Dubrovnik to meet Liset in Montenegro. Liset was vivacious and full of knowledge and enthusiasm for Montenegro. She curated a spectacular tour that was customized to our desires. After coffee along the bay, we met a quality speed boat that took us to Our Lady of the Rock. We explored this beautiful site and explored the bay in Perast further. We learned about the rich history of the area. We drove further to Kotor and had a fascinating walking tour of the area. Liset made recommendations on where to try local prosciutto, cheese, and wine within the old town. Lastly, Liset guided us through Budva Old Town- showing us all the important sites. She again made excellent recommendations on where to get dinner and how we could enjoy spending our evening in our destination town. We felt very comfortable and relaxed throughout our tour. Furthermore, we loved learning about Liset’s ties to Montenegro. Her passion for this country and her work in tourism was evident from the start. She literally and figuratively walked us through the incredibly rich history of Kotor, carefully answering every question by providing facts along with immensely helpful historical context and personal perspective. Then after our tour we enjoyed a terrific spread of local meats and cheeses and talked together like old friends. Tours by Locals August 2025 As Americans, it was interesting to hear her compare and contrast her time living in the US vs. Montenegro. TripAdvisor ***** October 2025 Probably the best trip of the holiday This tour company came highly recommended on Facebook. We mesaged them from the UK and booked a tour. They kept us informed regarding the pick up time even sending a photo of the spot. On arrival we are greeted by Luca who held a placard up with my name so he could be clearly identified. A short walk to the car and we were on our way. The cost was 90 euros each but was 4.5 hours long . Luca was extremely polite and knowledgeable. Our first stop was the cable car , this was our honeymoon and I’m scared of heights but figured 11 minutes of my life it would be worth it. I can only say I’m so proud of myself and despite my sweaty hands the views were absolutely stunning.Luca played some relaxing music on his phone for me which I think was a lovely touch. At the top there were great photo opportunities and somewhere to eat and drink. Luca allowed us as much time as we needed and it was a refreshing change to not be hurried or in a large group. Our next stop was the Lady of the lake which included a short boat trip to the island and quaint church. Again we were left and given as much time as we wanted Luca said maybe a hour but if you’re late it’s not a problem he’ll wait for us. This trip included the cable car fee and the boat and museum at the church. All in all would highly recommend this trip and this company, the service was really good. The drive up & down the serpentine road was handled with expertise (glad we weren’t driving it!). The walking tour of Kotor was equally enjoyable as the guide was, again, very knowledgeable and had a delightful presence. Our guide Brian was waiting for us in the port and we were on our way with the 6 of us way ahead of all the tour busses . Communication with this company has always been excellent . This time we went up into the mountains and after a number of stops had a wonderful lunch at a prociuto farm. Our guide was excellent had lots of information and stories to tell us about this nice country .
