Her knowledge, and personality surpassed any of our expectations. She customized our day for our family and without a doubt the Bay of Kotor and the view from Trojica the top of the mountain was one of the most beautiful sites we have ever seen..... the entire day was filled with memories we will never forget. Liset is one of the best guides I've ever encountered. Liset does not lecture, but converses and can answer questions on a variety of topics. She is engaging, accommodating, humourous and full of knowledge. Our four-hour tour began with a visit to Perast and Our Lady of the Lake Church where there was plenty of time to absorb the historic and visual points of interest and to take pictures. We then worked our way through Old Kotor where Liset pointed out all kinds of details that would otherwise be overlooked. I had a fabuous day learning about the architecture, history and sites despite the rain. Kotor is a place so steeped in history that having a guide is the only way to really experience what it has to offer.

We are so glad we hired Liset as our tour guide in and around Kotor, from the nice and easy communication via email it seemed as we would have an amazing time with her. Montenegro was one of the best decisions of our trip! Even though we had some rainy days and we were a bit worried about managing to see everything we had planned on our private tour, as soon as we met her we knew it was going to be a fantastic day! She really loves Montenegro and it shows. We are coming back very soon because the weather did not do justice to it's beautiful natural beauty and we will hire Liset to take us to the Blue cave and around the coast for sure, we highly recommend her and her team! Montenegro is a country that must be on everyone's bucket list and Liset is the one to see it with. The country is simply beautiful. We have done the Mediterranean twice and there are many beautiful sights to experience, from Venice to Barcelona. However, Montenegro is in a class to itself. Liset did a wonderful job from start to finish. When I first contacted her she provided a draft agenda for our day and was very willing to see that all of our wishes were made possible. She corresponded quickly and by the time we met, I felt like she was already a friend. Her advice was priceless. We had the greatest time, ate the best food, met great people, heard wonderful historical tales, and experienced a day we will never forget. I cannot recommend Liset enough. We didn't have a lot of time so Liset combined a speed boat tour for the first part of the tour ( Kotor - Our Lady of The Rocks Island - Perast - Kotor) with a van for the second part (Kotor- Sveti Stefan- Budva Kotor). Liset whisked us away to Perast and Our Lady of the Rocks immediately after leaving our ship. What a great plan. By leaving early we had Our Lady of the Rocks almost to ourselves as we learned about its construction and long history of miracles for mariners. The displays of artifacts and gifts from grateful survivors of sea mishaps are fascinating and touching. In Perast she explained the complications of property ownership passing from ancient families to the state and back to descendants of the original owners. In Kotor proper we visited the cathedral and maritime museum and wandered the narrow streets. She explained the repeated damage by major earthquakes in 1600's and more recently and how it shapes the present day Kotor. She talked proudly of Montenegro's great progress in barely ten years as a newly independent nation. As we parted, she made dinner reservations for us in an outstanding waterside restaurant and encouraged us to try the climb up Kotor's ancient walls. All the way to the top or just high enough to see the lovely harbor that once hosted pirates - both were great ways to end a great day.

We went to a rocky beach area and the kids had time to play in the beautiful clear water. We loved our tour with Liset in Kotor! It was the best part of our trip.
Liset was a wonderful host to this stunningly beautiful place. She was extremely accommodating to our changing dates and indecision on which tour to take. In the end we chose to do the boat tour from Kotor to Our Lady of the Rocks church, the town of Perest and then back to the Old Town in Kotor.
We came off our cruise ship and Liset was right there and within a minute of getting off the ship we were on our boat and off on our tour. Anyone who has tried to organize a tour off a cruise ship will know how awesome this was to not waste any time waiting. The boat was great for our group of 12 - nice, spacious and covered. Liset was very personable and told us all about the area, the history of Montenegro and interesting stories as were immersed in the gorgeous scenery on a beautiful day. The Old Lady of the Rocks was the most interesting church I have ever visited. The stories, historical artifacts and sheer beauty made this a most memorable stop. After stopping in the quaint little town of Perest for a drink and a bite to eat, we went into the middle of bay and all the kids spent some time jumping into the water. It was an incredible afternoon. We had a great tour and could have ended it there but then we visited the Old Town. What a hidden gem! We were pressed for time but Liset gave us a quick tour of the town. My advice to everyone is to leave enough time for the Old Town.We had to get back to the cruise ship, but I wished we had more time. It is a very pretty old town that is steeped in history and beautiful buildings with nice shops and restaurants as well. We left our day with Liset taking about making plans to come back and spend more time in this amazing part of the world.Visited September 2015

We met our captain after our stroll and sped off to meet our driver, Nero for a lovely ride to Budva. This is the best kept secret in the Mediterranean...although the word is spreading! It is a beautiful walled city, with modern touches. Liset explained the history of Budva as we wandered it's narrow streets. We stopped for some fabulous local pastries and truly enjoyed the locals! Once we finished in Budva, Nero expertly drove us back to Kotor, stopping along the way for scenic views and picture taking, while Liset explained what we were seeing! This stop was very interesting and beautiful, and Liset was able to explain the history of the location very well as she led us through the island and church. The views throughout this region are spectacular.
Liset knew of some excellent overlook points to take stunning pictures. We made many of these types of stops, and our memories of this tour will be magnified by the beautiful scenery we’re able to keep in photos.
Liset was also able to fit in many historical stops without us feeling rushed and insured that we were able to get everything we needed, including shopping and a food stop. For lunch, she walked us to an excellent restaurant in old town Budva. The food was good, and they even gave us a 10 percent discount.
The old towns in both Budva and Kotor are fascinating, but do know that there will be quite a bit of walking on some uneven ground. We very much enjoyed this excursion during our cruise stop here, but we were traveling with my wife’s mother, and she had some difficulty with the walking.
Overall, we had a most excellent day with Liset exploring the Bay of Kotor, and we would highly recommend this tour if you are planning a cruise stop or a visit to this area.

We hired a car and picked Liset up over the border (no-fuss border, BTW) and she guided us around for about 12 hours and fitted in more than you could reasonably expect - the full rim of Bay of Kotor, including Perast and a ferry out to the Lady of the Rocks, Kotor itself (mind-blowing), the Mausoleum in the mountains above Kotor where you can see 5 countries (Albania, Bosnia, Croatia, Serbia and Italy) - what a spectacular ascent, the ancient capital (Cetinje), the coast (Budva, its old town, Sveti Stefan) and a ferry ride across the Bay. It's about 300km if you see everything, and we were back in Dubrovnilk for a 9pm dinner at Dubrovnik Restaurant (very good for reference).
Liset is very smart, articulate and knowledgeable, and the first person to give us a relatively non-partisan overview of the conflicts in the area from the 1980s. She's also delightful, and you'll have a fun day with her.

During our stop in Njegusi, the driver was able to arrange a visit to a pork smokehouse owned by a street merchant. We sampled the local ham, cheese, and liquor and felt like local Montenegrins. After this we stopped in Cetinje to see the museum of King Nikola and the monastery. On our way out of the town, we got some local coffee (similar to Turkish coffee in that you have to avoid the sediments). After visiting Cetinje, we passed through the ritzy beach town of Budva, which looked like it would be a great place to visit at night.
