“Great service - knowledgeable, personal and charming”
Reviewed November 4, 2014
We booked a private tour with Liset (email@example.com) in Kotor. We met Liset early in the morning after getting off our tender boat. She took us on a speedboat (Bayliner) across the Bay of Kotor to our Lady of the Rock where she told us the haertwarming story of this man made island. We then proceeded to Perast where we strolled around and had some coffee in the sunshine. When speeding back to Kotor we even saw wild dolphins in the bay!
Upon return we were picked up by a brandnew Mercedes Benz minivan and continued our tour with a photo stop at Sveti Stefan and a walk around Budva. Here we had the chance to enjoy fresh seafood in a very nice place by the promenade.
Finally we returned to Kotor and walked through this as well.
What made this tour special?
We were a family with two 80-year-old parents. Liset took good care of everybody, she matched the speed to that of the eldest in our family. She always realised what would be interesting for us before we were even aware of it. She made this tour a perfect mix of information, walking and just taking in the general atmospere.
We came across a couple of the groups that were following a guide from the ship - we thanked our fate that we were not part of those groups.
Liset is knowledgeable, charming and simply a really nice person!
We wil be back in Kotor and we will make sure to book another tour with her.
One final remark: Liset asked me to transfer the money for the tour beforehand because she needed to book and pay the boat and the minivan to make sure they would be in time. I was a little worried because you hear so much of internet fraud these days.
However, there was no need to worry at all, please do not let this keep you from booking a tour with Liset!
Thank you Liset, you made my parents happy and that made us happy!

We were in Kotor, Montenegro for one day on a shore excursion with private guide Liset. She was excellent. We discussed our itinerary with her prior to the tour and followed her recommendations. We were on a tide schedule and Liset made it all happen. We even had time for lunch in the restaurant she recommended and it was excellent. She was entertaining and Informative. Driver was also very good. Would recommend this guide and driver to anyone.

“The BEST of Montenegro in a short amount of time on a cruise ship!!”
Reviewed September 8, 2014
I went on a cruise and we tendered in Montenegro for 6 hours. I did a lot of research on the things I wanted to do and I felt the only way to go was a private tour considering the ship excursions you could only pick one or the other. I tried several companies and they told me everything I wanted to do was IMPOSSIBLE in that short amount of time until I found this amazing tour guide, Liset Rios de Kuhar. Her response was we can do it!!! I was ecstatic. She met us right at port and had arranged everything from our private boat and our private taxi. (which was all included in the price which is nice) She is very energetic and outgoing and very knowledgable about the country. We did everything on my list which includes Our Lady of the Rocks, Perast, the Blue Cave, Zanjice Beach, time for a quick bite and drinks, taking a dip in the sea, Marina of Porto Montenegro, Sveti Stefan, and a walk in the old town. Even though we were on a time crunch we did not feel rushed at all. We got to stop whenever we wanted to take photos, etc. If your on a time crunch from a cruise ship and want to make the most of your trip to this country I highly recommend this private tour. It's the only way to go to see it all!!! We did the impossible and seen it all with time to spare for shopping in the Old Town when numerous other companies told me no. She even takes pictures of you and sends them to your email before you even board the ship. Liset is amazing!! Below I will include the itinerary she sent me so you have an idea of everything we did. This country is breathtaking filled with amazing history. After you read this go to her website and book her!!! She can do about anything you wish. It's like hanging out with a friend all day. I can't give her enough praises!!!!

We visited Kotor Montenegro recently while on a cruise and tour a walking tour provided by Liset Rios de Kuhar. Kotor is an old walled city with an unique history. Liset's walking tour of this compact city provided an interesting combination of Kotor's history and what life in Kotor is like today. She is very knowledgeable and we definitely enjoyed the tour.

Recently we cruised into the port of Kotor and was looking for a private tour of the island. We choose to do a tour with Liset Rios because of what we had read on the internet. We were not disappointed. We booked via internet and everything went just as she had promised. The guide meet us at the port as we got off the ship and took us on a four hour tour. We choose the speed boat option. I would recommend booking with Liset. Very pleasant experience.

Excellent Day by Kotor Private Tours”
Reviewed 23 August 2014
Kotor Private Tours delivered an excellent experience during our recent visit. We really wanted to take the Blue Cave tour that our cruise ship offered but they were sold out. We contacted Kotor Private Tours the day before arriving in Kotor and they delivered a great experience. We found them on-line, made contact and agreed on tour all via email from our ship. We had a full day of non-stop sightseeing including a stop at the Lady of the Rock Church, a ride out to the blue waters cave, free time to swim at a local beach and finally a historical walk through town with Shira, tour guide. It was an awesome place and experience! This was one of our favorite ports, and the service we received on this private tour played a huge role. Thank you for your professionalism, reliability and hospitality! Elly and family

During our Mediterranean cruise in June, one of the stop was Kotor. Since we have no prior knowledge of the area, we decided to search for a private tour guide who can help us to navigate the area. Through the Trip Adviser forum, I was able to contact Loset Rios De Kuhar. She was able to offer us several alternatives , we finally settled on a tour of Perast, our lady of the rocks, Svet Stefan and Budva before returing to Kotor for a tour of the old town.
On the day of the cruise stop , LIset was waitng for us at the dock and we made our way to the Lady of the Rock which was our first stop. Along the way, LIset was able to fill us in on the history, culture and religion of the region. Her extensive knowledge of the area we were visiting enriched our experience. Scenaries along the way was also spectacular . We enjoyed the walk through Perast town , the historic Our Lady of the Rocks , the sp ectaular Svet Stefan and the walk through the old town of Budva before returning to the old town of Kotor.LIset helped us to book for lunch in Luna Rosa .IT was an excellent choice ,he rustic ambience and fresh seasfood lunch made for a very pleasant afternoon.

“Wonderful day in Montenegro with Liset of Kotor Private Tours”
Reviewed July 14, 2014
When we were looking for a day excursion from our cruise ship in Kotor, Montenegro we were lucky enough to come across some excellent references for Liset Rios de Kuhar, in Kotor. We were not disappointed. She met that's the ship and and immediately took us to a small speedboat where we had an excellent ride out to the island of Our Lady of the Rock, visiting its beautiful catholic church, and museum. Then we took our boat to Perast and explored this wonderful town. We then took the boat back to Kotor where we were able to leisurely explore the old town. We had a nice meal and time to wander and shop, prior to returning to our cruise ship. Liset was a wonderful hostess and tour guide. She has excellent knowledge of the area and her English is wonderful. I would highly recommend Liset and her company for any time in Montenegro.

Liset Rios De Kuhar, of private tours Kotor is amazing. She was extremely thorough, fun outgoing personality, and we were able to arrange payment ahead of our arrival. Liset was right at the dock, and affable, there was no area of Kotor that we did not visit from lady of the rock to all towns around Kotor, to a superb walking tour (even in a deluge of rain that lasted all day)
Liset is extremely knowledgeable and I highly recommend her. Even stopped for libation, and she was extremely patient, photo conscious, and excellent private tour with a driver so she could visit with us continuously

“Private guides are the best way to really get to know a country”
We spent a day visiting Montenegro on a recent cruise and because of the wonderful services of Liset. it was by far the highlight of our trip. Liset could not have responded more promptly to all of my many queries and because we were a group of nine there was a lot of changes. She was extremely flexible and fantastic in everyway. Unfortunately she could not guide us herself as another group from the cruise booked her first but the guide that she gave us was absolutely wonderful and I am using the same agency when I happen to be going to Kotor again this August

Liset Rios (email@example.com ) gave us the best tour of our entire cruise. We told her that she had set the bar too high for all subsequent tours and we were correct. She navigated us off the ship early and took us to the attractions that would become filled with cruise passengers early so we were leaving and they were arriving. My husband an I are committed to private tours off cruise ships since we hate large crowds. Liset gave us her all for an entire day and I believe everyone on our tour was ready to go back to the ship when the time came. Many tours whisk you around so fast that you don't have time to stop and enjoy anything. Liset made certain that our needs were met and tailored this shore excursion to our groups needs. Our driver was very sweet and he bought us all a little souvenir magnet and gave it to us at the end of our trip. The last part of our tour was in Kotor itself with a walk around the town and explanations of the history by Liset. Her English is flawless so there is no straining to understand what she is trying to explain. I can't recommend her enough for a great day in Kotor or the surrounding area. She was great to communicate with and make certain that our tour was customized to our liking. You will love your day with her.

A couple of friends and us sailed into this gorgeous Bay with Celebrity, last July. Our guide Liset greeted us at the dock and we were off to start our half day shore excursion of the Bay. A van parked just minutes away from the Port was waiting for us. Perast was the first part of the visit was very smart decisition, July is a crazy busy time in Montenegro and we had a head start from the crowds . Our first visit was to Our Lady of the Rock, just a quick boat ride across from the lovely small town of Perast and it was just gorgeous!!! Liset pointed out details and facts of Montenegro and the Bay of Kotor, which was really interesting, that needle work from the lady at the church was so romantic I still remember it. A wonderful church with an amazing history then we had some leisure time in Perast for refreshments, Liset took us to the pirate bar beach and we had a quick swim to cool down from the hot summer days. We continued to Kotor for our walking tour and work up the appetite, Kotor is a lovely small town, the styles and architecture just beautiful, we visited the Catholic Cathedral some churches, the Maritime museum Liset share the history of this beautiful town, family palaces and customs of the people, and advised us on some shops we could visit for souvenirs at the end our our tour. Our visit was excellent! Liset showed us Montenegro through her eyes , she just loves this place but has a clear insight of both past actual facts. She lived in the US, so her English is great, we loved her approach to the tour very fresh and meaningful at the same time. We are glad we hired her services, if you are planning to visit the beautiful Bay and want to have somebody taking care of your visit, I highly recommend her. I am sure she will be guiding and making friends along the way.

“Great day and great tour guide, Liset, in Kotor Montenegro.”
By Joanna - Reviewed January 21, 2014
We arrived in the lovely Bay of Kotor, Montenegro via Equinox in September last year. We were met by Liset our guide guide at the dock and were off on our full day shore excursion. We were escorted to our Van, parked just minutes away from the Port. Liset advised us to start the day visiting Perast which gave us a head start on the crowds coming from the cruise and gave her some time to introduce Montenegro to us.
Our first visit was Our Lady of the Rock, across from Perast and yes It was a great idea!! Seeing it with a tour guide was made so much sense, Liset pointed out details that I am sure we would have missed out, if we went on our own. A wonderful church with an amazing history we had some refreshments in Perast and continued to Kotor, We began our walking tour of The Old Town of Kotor and entered in through the Sea Gate entrance, after having a walk through the fresh market where we saw a few interesting local produce like prosciutto and Oil cheese, tasty!
We strolled through this wonderful UNESCO site for about an hour and half visiting, churches, the Maritime museum and some local stores Liset pointed out some of the more "local" stores to visit later and talked about the history of this beautiful town and made our late lunch reservation in the beautiful terrace of Montecristo, her friend’s restaurant located in the middle of the town great choice!
From there we met our driver, for our next stop in Budva, before arriving in the Old town we continue towards Sveti Stefan to take some panoramic shoots of Sveti Stefan, I’m so happy we stopped there, the sightseeing is just marvelous. Again we wouldn’t have driven there without a guide. From there we drove towards Budva were our walking tour begin, small but beautiful town, with a lot of history, great sightseeing but a bit to crowded for our taste, Liset was very nice, she had a real appreciation of Montenegro both in history and in the modern issues, she is aware of the issues affecting the country and the region and her perspective as a local/expat is spot on. I’m glad we had her during our visit and if you decide to have a tour guide during your I highly recommend her, my fiancé friends and I had an amazing time. Her email is firstname.lastname@example.org and I am sure she will continue guiding, she was great! Montenegro was the highlight of our cruise.
