Most enjoyable tour during our entire cruise What a day! Liset guided us expertly through our day. Her excellent English allowed us to easily understand the rich history of Kotor and Perast, and her leisurely demeanor made the whole day feel effortless. We did a lot but never felt rushed. Liset was patient as we shopped a bit in Kotor, and the October weather allowed us to motorboat from there to Our Lady of the Lake and Perast, an option I highly recommend if weather permits. The church is a must see and the stories of thankful seamen brought alive the history and culture of the region. We even boated to Verige 65, an amazing cafe at the mouth of stunning Kotor bay for coffee and nourishment. The entire day was a treat! Liset's team was recommended by a friend who had visited a year prior and we are very thankful! Her communication was thorough and clear, payment easy, and she was very accommodating. I recommend her team highly!
“Great Day in Kotor with Daniel!!!” Daniel made our day in Kotor memorable and perfect! We took a boat ride to see the man made island where, OUR LADY OF THE ROCKS CHURCH, resides. We ate a nice light lunch right on the seaside. Talk about waterfront seating! Amazing! Daniel gave us time to ourselves, which was great. We knew where he was and how to reach him if needed while we ate. Daniel then gave us a very nice walking tour of Kotor. We booked all private tours for our trip. Daniel was phenomenal! THANK YOU!
An amazing tour with amazing Daniel We have been to Kotor several times and wanted to see the countryside this time. Liset was so very responsive from the first time I contacted her, and our guide Daniel was truly amazing. His love for his country showed with his excitement. From beautiful scenery and vistas to having local snacks and a beer, our day was beautiful. Thanks Liset and Daniel!
Montenegro We had excellent time with this company, starting with Daniel waiting for us at the gate, stopping at many spots to take wonderful pictures of bay, mountains and our ship from 1500 feet above. In simple he tailored our 8 hour tour perfectly as per your needs, skipped several churches , but had time for another bottle of wine with our lunch. We visited Lovcen , Budva and finished tour in old town of Kotor. Daniel spoke perfect english , which was a great surprise considering our previous tours. Thank you Daniel, than you KOTOR PRIVATE TOURS, for a wonderful day in unknown Montenegro.
OUTSTANDING PRIVATE SHORE EXCURSION WITH LISET! Liset was wonderful--from her prompt, helpful correspondence to customize a cruise ship excursion from our call at Kotor for 10 of us on our Cruise Critic roll call . . . to her outstanding gracious service on the day of our tour. She was waiting for us at the dock at Kotor and escorted us to her comfortable mini-bus with its excellent driver (which allowed us to avoid having to waste time looking for parking, etc.) and provided a wealth of information in a most entertaining fashion as we rode through the scenic countryside to beautiful Budva and Sveti Stefan, with carefully curated photo stops and walking tours of the highlights that also allowed free time for shopping and/or coffee breaks.
Then we returned to our Kotor port, where she let us on a marvelous tour of this lively city and its charming historic center. She even escorted each couple to a different restaurant that met their individual preferences!
Liset is a delightful individual—knowledgeable, vivacious, compassionate, and professional. All 10 of us (all experienced world travelers) were thrilled beyond all expectation that we chose Liset and her company for our Montenegro port call, and I highly recommend you book her early!
Perfect walking tour of Kotor Our family arrived via cruise and we decided to hire a private walking tour ahead of time, our guide was Jelena she waited for us by the port entrance on time as agreed. She was wonderful, very informative,kind and full of excellent facts about Montenegro, besides the fact that her English was perfect (which is crucial, I know you can relate). We had enough time to climb Saint Giovanni and have a quick bite to eat and even some shopping before heading back to the ship. Next time we visit Kotor we will explore some more and will contact Kotor Private Tours for sure.
Bad weather did not ruin our amazing day! When you planed your trip ahead of time but can't control the weather you feel like going crazy... even though we hired the Blue cave tour a summer storm ruined our plans and since we could not be reach on board the cruise, we only hope to find someone from the team by the port and there she was Liset waiting for us with a big smile, she explain some of our options and took us to meet Daniel our fab guide for the day, we decided to visit Budva Sveti Stefan including the gorgeous panoramic view behind Kotor, at the end of the day we all agree this was by far the best customer service we've had during our trip. They made sure we enjoyed our visit from the first emails to the the day of our visit and we are really thank full. I highly recommend Kotor Private Tours, a private customized tour is the way to do it!
Beautiful tour of the Montenegrin coastline We booked the tour to meet our cruise ship at Kotor as we wanted to explore Montenegro without paying the extortionate cruise tour prices! Lovely day, Budva and the Lady of the Rocks were both stunning and as the weather was too choppy for a boat trip we stopped for Turkish coffee at the marina and fresh seafood at Perast instead. Our tour guide knew the area inside out, lovely private minibus, and very efficiently run meeting us and dropping us back at the port in time for boarding. Would recommend this company to anyone wishing to explore Montenegro.
Private tour of the city our mother lived in from age 3 to 17! Daniel provided an unforgettable day for my sister and I and our husbands. Our mother spoke often of her youth and so loved Cetinji. Daniel was able to take us from Kotor to Cetinji, find the street and house where she lived, and find the cemetery where our grandmother and great grandmother were buried. We were at the site of their Eastern Orthodox Church and walked the park and square Mother often spoke of foundry. The tour was tailored especially for us. We could not been more pleased and would highly recommend them. Thank you Daniel for this most special day.
BOOK THIS EXCURSION My husband and I came in on the cruise line and knowing how the ships work, we wanted to make sure we booked directly with a local as opposed to the cruise line so that our money was going directly to the local operator. I found this company through TripAdvisor and am so happy I did! Daniel was our guide and was simply brilliant. Our tour combined travel with a private speed boat as well as transportation in a Mercedes. Daniel cares and is passionate about Kotor’s history both past and present and expresses his opinions with caution yet complete honesty. We were able to visit a couple of cities not located within the cruise ship area and got to see the real life of Balkan’s as it it today and was yesterday. Thank you so much Daniel for making our 1 day here in Montenegro one of our most memorable. Thanks to you we are already looking at returning next year for a week. Do yourself a favor and get off-the-beaten path and experience the authentic culture of this gorgeous seaside town. #supportlocal
A truly enjoyable day in Kotor Our group of 8 had a great time with Liset in and around beautiful Kotor. Liset met us at our cruise ship and her tour really maximized our short visit to Montenegro. Heaven on Earth First of all Montenegro was the highlight of our 14 day trip. It is magnificent and a place I will visit again. We arrived on a cruise and had 8 people including a 3 year old little girl. Liset met us at the ship and escorted us to the private boat just a short distance away. We booked the ultimate over the top private tour and would do it again. It was very well organized and there is no better way to see everything in one day than on a private boat. Liset is easy going and will go at your speed. If you want to have a long lunch and shorten something else that is just fine. I highly recommend visiting Montenegro booking a tour with Liset, and take the private boat tour as it will be the experience of a lifetime.
Wonderful day in Kotor This is the second time that we have used Liset and Kotor Private Tours and Excursions. They are simply wonderful to work with. The first time we took a tour around Kotor and did a half day on a speedboat touring the coast and important sites. The second time we spent the day with the speedboat going from little town to little town. It was magical. Everything went very smoothly. We were able to visit many different sites. This was much more cost effective then being on a tour bus with a bunch of other people. There was someone to greet us and take us everywhere that we wanted. Lisit is wonderful to work with and very accommodating. Kotor is one of our favorite spots in the world. We will definitely use her again. We highly recommend you using Kotor Private Tours.
Montenegro rocks ... and so does Daniel! We sailed into Kotor on Brilliance of the Seas - what a sight to see such a beautiful landscape pulling into the bay. The scenery was breathtaking. Due to the fact that we had to tender in, we were about an hour late meeting our guide, Daniel, but that didn't stop us from having a fabulous time. Daniel made some suggestions for alternate sights to see and we were on-board. He took us to Budva (which was a beautiful sight from up high), we had lunch at a mountain-side restaurant of local favorites, went up the mountains a bit to take some awesome photos and finally ended in the old town of Kotor. Daniel was totally engaging and we learned a lot about the country. I would highly recommend Kotor Private Tours and Excursions - they were extremely professional and responsive. We couldn't have asked for a better guide than Daniel - thank you for showing us a great time in Montenegro!!!
