After meeting your guide and your driver you will head towardwn the Village of Njegusi, know as the birth place of Petar Petrovic Njegos, the village of Njegusi is famous for its smoked ham or prosciutto (Njeguski prsut), flat bread (Lepinja) and cheese (Njeguski Sir) so we will go off the beaten path and will will visit our friend's family owned smoke house where you will have a sample of our local specialties, including local wine and brandy (know as Loza or Rakija).
Next we will return via Kotor’s stunning serpentine road with plenty of photo opportunities once in Kotor you will have a walking tour through the maze of Kotor's medieval quarter, its bustling market and among beautiful Renaissance buildings. The well preserved fortified walls of Kotor protect it from the sea and at nearly 3 miles long it is considered one of the world's historic values. Your tour includes a visit to the Cathedral of St. Tryphon which was constructed in 1166 and built on the remains of a former temple from the 9th century. You will see the remains from 14th century frescoes and the valuable treasury with both local and Venetian golden works dating from the 14th to the 20th centuries and a visit to the Maritime Museum of Kotor Kotor. The collection includes many historical objects, models and pictures of old ships and sailboats, plus ship parts and old instruments.
After the sightseeing tour you can walk back to the pier or enjoy free time on your own.
